Bask yourself in a tent full of funky smells and overwhelming body heat to kick off your school year. Seriously, Welcome Week is a great way to get out there and meet new people while dancing your face off a bit too much. This year, the UWSA is holding a themed night each day of the week and encouraging partiers to dress accordingly. Check out the full schedule and FAQ below.

Who: Shinerama

SHINE Day is UWindsor Shinerama's annual fundraising day- the last day of Welcome Week. Join them for a day of car washes, signing, dancing, meeting new friends, seeing the city and raising funds in order to find a cure for cystic fibrosis!

Schedule of the day:
9am: Registration and Breakfast
9:30am: Opening statements, speaker, and instructions for the day
10am: board busses and head into the city to SHINE for CF
2:30pm: board busses back to the university
3pm: appreication lunch

Who: Student Groups, Clubs & Societies

The first of its kind here at UWindsor! Clubs Crawl is a large format pub crawl being organized by the Students Groups Service to raise funds for the Student Groups of UWindsor. The proceeds from each ticket sold will go to the club of your choice. The Manchester, Pub Club, Level, and Bull & Barrel are the designated spots for this years (hopefully annual) festivities!

Who: UWindsor Mental Health Awareness

The Kick OFF walk for SPAW (Suicide Prevention Awareness Week) is being held through the Canadian Mental Health Association. The participants who chose to walk will be follow the trail from the SportsPlex and along the Herb Gray Parkway Trail. However, if the case of bad weather, participants will walk inside SportsPlex. Donations will be taken the day of and the event is held in order to raise awareness for suicide prevention.

One of our very own student groups, Mental Health Awareness, raised $800 for the CMHA through events such as bake sales, game days, open mic night, candy sales, and various other small affairs. Join them as they keep pursuing their passion to end the stigma of mental health disorders.

Mental Health Awareness is focused on raising awareness about mental health disorders and ending the stigma against them. In addition, the group aims to aid in prevention by encouraging students to improve their quality of life by adopting healthier habits.
